Peter G.
Masullo, CPA has always been a pioneer in the advocacy of taxpayer
rights.
Competence, integrity and fairness are the cornerstones of our business
philosophy. We put our policies in writing long before we were required to do so
by the Department of Consumer Affairs. In addition to the taxpayer rights
enumerated by NY State & NY City, all clients of Peter G. Masullo, CPA have the following additional
rights, regardless of which continent they live on:
FEES All taxpayers and potential clients have the right
to know how much they will be paying us before they agree to pay it. For this reason, virtually all fees are
agreed upon, in advance. There are some occasions, due to the complex nature of
the job or other factors beyond our control, where it is impossible to set a fee
in advance. In these cases, an hourly rate will be set in advance and we will
provide our best estimate of the total cost, before we start.
Peter Masullo's current hourly rate is $200. This rate is adjusted, up or down,
depending on factors such as income level and the complexities involved in the
job.
If we prepared your tax returns last year and there are no major changes, your
fee will be the same, subject to an inflationary increase based on the Consumer
Price Index.
Fees are due at or prior to completion of the work. A monthly finance charge of
1% is billed on overdue balances.
We are glad to make house calls for the elderly or infirmed. We don't charge for
travel time if you live within a mile of our NY office.
AUDIT

will be billed at 50% of our regular rates, provided your income is less than
$500,000 per year.

result of our error, free of charge.
This does not include any penalty resulting from your late payment of any tax or

an extension. However, we cannot be expected to bare responsibility for
penalties when we are using estimated and/or incomplete information.
